The Pembroke Vineyard is located at the entrance to the Coal River Valley in
southern Tasmania on approximately one hectare.
The vineyard predominantly grows Pinot Noir along with a very small range of classic white varieties including
Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard is a certified plot and has produced clonal material for
distribution to the fledgling Tasmanian wine industry in its establishment phase. The vineyard was established in 1980.
Pembroke Vineyard is one of the oldest in the Coal River Valley. Pembroke Wines
specialises in Pinot Noir and produces Gold Medal quality wine. It is owned by the McKay and Hawker families and is
situated on land bought by the McKay's in 1848.
